Protests trigger clashes in the town after scores of youth soon after Friday prayer assembled near Markazi Jamia Madjid area of Sopore town and they raised slogans against the government forces.
The protesters started pelting stones on forces deployed at main bazaar area of town. Forces retaliated by lobbing scores of tear gas shells to disperse the protesters, resulting clashes in the area
Meanwhile, business establishments downed their shutters and traffic movement was also affected in the town.
