SSP Ganderbal holds meeting with retired police personnel

GANDERBAL: To review the welfare measures and to redress the grievances of retired Police Officers, SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta held a meeting with (PROANG) Police Retired Officers Association Non-Gazetted at DPL Ganderbal in which various issues pertaining to them were discussed.
Representatives of the Police Retired Officers Association put forth various pending issues pertaining to them. They were heard patiently by SSP Ganderbal and were assured of full cooperation. It was also made clear in the meeting that retirees are always welcomed for their valuable suggestions and there is great respect for them in the police organization as they have rendered a long service and toiled hard to earn a name for the organization, police said in a statement.
Further, SSP Ganderbal stated that various measures are taken by the J&K Police department for the welfare of retired police personnel and their families. Moreover, the retirees raised various issues in the meeting and a patient hearing was given by the chairing officer and they were assured that their genuine demands and problems would be taken up at an appropriate level for their redressal.
SSP Ganderbal assured the participants that J&K Police is always at their disposal and asked them not to feel isolated. Further, they were assured that they are still part of the police organization and they can approach any police officer or police unit at any time.
Finally, the meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from both sides and SSP Ganderbal assured that such meetings will be held in future also, police said.
