Extends Eid greetings
SRINAGAR: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, while addressing a sermon at Bazar Masjid, Srinagar spoke about the great teachings of Islam and its far-reaching effects on humanity.
He emphasised that rights in Islam are fundamentally based on the rights of Allah(Haqooq Ul Lah) and the rights of mankind,(Haqooq Ul Ibadan) and the entire structure of rights and duties in Islam stands on this principle.
Mirwaiz said that as far as the rights of Allah are concerned, then Allah is “Ghani” and “Be-Niyaaz”. He can deal with His servants in the matter of concessions and forgiveness, but as far as the rights of the servants are concerned, the Qur’an and the Hadith are clear on this: unless full consideration and attention are given to the fulfillment of each other’s rights, Allah Almighty forgiveness can remain elusive
He said that nowadays, our focus is more on the fulfillment of the rights of Allah ,while there are severe and serious lapses on our behalf in fulfilling the rights of mankind,This discrepancy starkly contrasts with the core values and teachings of Islam.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed heartfelt greetings to the Islamic World and all the Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. His Eid message is as follows:
On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, I extend my heartfelt greetings to the Islamic World and all the Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir.
We are celebrating today’s Eid in these circumstances while we are facing various challenges and problems at the social, societal and religious levels. As a Muslim Ummah, we are facing many problems locally as well as on the global level as Muslims regarding our Milli identity.
By the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty, all of us have been blessed with an opportunity for worship, fasting purification of the soul and improvement of our conduct during the blessed month of fasting. Let us strive to maintain this spiritual atmosphere and disposition in the future as well.
On this occasion of Eid, as a servant of Islam and an advocate of humanity, I urge the entire community to focus not only on the rights of Allah but also on the significant religious obligations related to the rights of fellow human beings.
As we strive to fulfill our personal responsibilities, it is also incumbent upon us, as part of our religious duties, to assist and cooperate with all those members of society who are deserving of our attention and support.
I pray that this Eid brings happiness, joy, peace, and tranquillity for all of us. and my prayer to Allah is that, through the blessings of this great sacred month, He makes all our difficulties easy. Aameen.
