The District Administration Srinagar has decided to impose restriction in areas falling in jurisdictions of Nowhatta, MR Gunj and Safakadal police stations.
A senior government official in the administration said that the restrictions have been imposed as a “precautionary measures” in view of the functions organised by the separatist Hurriyat Conference.
Pertinently, Hurriyat (M) is observing week-long programmes to mark the death anniversaries of late Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone.
