SRINAGAR: Police in Awantipora organized an awareness programme related to new Criminal Laws at Government Degree College Pampore.
The awareness programme was attended by students, respectable of Pampore area & faculty members of the said college who were made aware regarding the newly three amended criminal laws viz Bharatiya Naya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
SDPO Awantipora Mumtaz Ali (SP SHO PS Pampore & PS Khrew) vividly evaluated the laws and gave a comprehensive lecture of the old laws and new laws. The highlight of the programme was that the participants were involved in interactive discussions enhancing the practical knowledge of the law. Students were made aware about people centric and victim centric reforms in the new laws.
The general public and students lauded the efforts of Police for organizing such informative awareness programmes.
Meanwhile, police in Ganderbal organised an awareness Programme on the New Criminal Laws at Government Degree College Ganderbal. The programme was chaired by SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta-IPS. The programme was attended by DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Gh Hassan-JKPS, Sr. PO Ganderbal Abdul Aziz Zaindari, DySP DAR DPL Ganderbal Nazir Ahmad, SHO PS Ganderbal, Lecturers & Students of Degree College Ganderbal. The event also witnessed a significant participation from renowned educationists, social workers and respectable citizens.
On the occasion, SSP Ganderbal talked about the amended criminal laws and asked the participants that these new laws are being implemented for speedy justice and are time bound. Moreover, Sr.PO Ganderbal provided the participants with a basic understanding of the new Criminal Laws, namely Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. Prosecuting Officer Dr. Tabasum also throw light on the said theme.
The participants present in the event appreciated the role of Ganderbal Police for organising such an important programme and applauded in providing the much needed awareness to the participants.
