A 55 years old woman (name withheld) resident of Akoora, Mattan in District Anantnag consumed some poisonous substance at her home, a police spokesman said.
He said that the woman was shifted to PHC Mattan where doctors declared her brought dead.
Police has registered a case FIR number 40/2017 in police station Mattan and investigation has been taken up.
