Pampore: In a significant stride towards promoting education and innovation in Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Sajad Ahmad Mir, a senior academic officer of Physics and the Nodal Officer of INSPIRE MANAK at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Jammu and Kashmir, has authored a comprehensive book titled “The Art of Innovations, INSPIRE MANAK, Pioneering the Future World.” This pioneering work explores various central government education schemes tailored for students in the region. Launched recently in Mumbai amid the presence of esteemed dignitaries, the book serves as a beacon of knowledge, illuminating pathways for young minds.
Dr Sajad Ahmad’s book delves deeply into the achievements of Kashmiri students selected through the INSPIRE scheme, a collaborative effort initiated by the Government of India in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology and Innovation Foundation. Speaking passionately about the book, Dr Sajad emphasized its potential to inspire and educate students, encouraging them to participate actively in the INSPIRE MANAK program. The book meticulously outlines the opportunities available under this scheme, providing valuable insights and practical guidance.
In a conversation with Kashmir Reader, Dr Sajad Ahmad underscored the importance of student participation in the INSPIRE MANAK initiative. He urged young innovators to submit their creative ideas through the INSPIRE MANAK website, outlining the structured process that could lead to financial support and scholarships for further studies, including opportunities to study in Japan. Through this initiative, students have the chance to collaborate with industry experts and gain exposure at the national level, opening doors for their innovative ideas to flourish.
Dr Sajad Ahmad extended his full support to students, encouraging them to seek guidance not only from him but also from other nodal officers appointed by the government. He emphasized the availability of resources and mentorship to nurture young talents, ensuring their ideas reach fruition.
The book launch coincided with the recognition of exceptional students from the region. Adil Rashid Bara from Kupwara and Preeti Devi from Reasi stood out by securing positions in the top 60 projects at the national level of the 10th National Level and Project Competition (NLEPC) of INSPIRE MANAK for the academic year 2021-2022. Dr Jitender Singh, the Union Minister of Science and Technology, Government of India, honored these talented individuals, acknowledging their outstanding contributions.
The INSPIRE MANAK competition received an overwhelming response, with 7,34,000 ideas pouring in from every corner of the country. This remarkable influx of creativity underscores the program’s objective: to ignite innovation and empower young minds. Dr Sajad Ahmad Mir’s book stands as a testament to the potential of students in the region, providing a roadmap for aspiring innovators.
In essence, Dr Sajad Ahmad’s book not only chronicles the achievements of Kashmiri students but also serves as a manual for future innovators.
