Srinagar: A soldier allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle in Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
A local news agency KNO quoting official sources said that the soldier took the extreme step using his service rifle at Chandhara area of Pampore.
It said that police have taken cognisance of the matter under 174 CRPC. It was not immediately known as to why the soldier man took this extreme step.
