SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday attended the Majlis-e-Isal-e-Sawab of the late wife of party stalwart and former General Secretary, Late Khawaja Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Shah, and the revered mother of former MLA Irfan Shah.
They were accompanied by the party’s General Secretary Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, senior leader and former parliamentarian Sharief-ud-Din Shariq, Rajya Sabha MP Sajad Ahmad Kichloo, senior leader and MLA Eidgah Mubarak Gul, MLA Khansahib Saifudin Bhat along with other party leaders and functionaries.
On the occasion, the duo offered Fatiha for the departed soul and prayed for eternal peace for the deceased. They also prayed for strength, patience, and fortitude for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Earlier, a large number of people from different walks of life also attended the Ijtimai Fatiha Khawani following the Chaharum observance at the graveyard within the shrine compound of Hazrat Syed Muhammad Mantaqi (RA) at Chatabal. Well-wishers gathered to pay their respects and offer prayers for the departed soul.
