All suspects have been arrested, and cases registered at respective police stations. The police reiterated their zero-tolerance policy towards drug trafficking and appealed to the public for cooperation in sharing information.
Legal Actions and Further Measures
In Sopore, police secured court orders under Section 52A NDPS Act for the disposal of a sixth vehicle seized in NDPS cases, as part of their intensified crackdown on narcotics trafficking. Multiple raids continue across districts like Awantipora, targeting drug peddlers and traffickers.
In Pulwama, police destroyed illegal poppy straw plants found cultivated in Drabgam, taking legal action against the cultivator. Extensive checks were also carried out at medical shops in Kakapora to ensure compliance with drug sale regulations.
