SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Trade Alliance (KTA) has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the devastating fire incident that broke out at the godown of BK Hardware in the Kanlibagh area of Baramulla, resulting in losses reportedly worth crores of rupees.
In a statement issued here, President Kashmir Trade Alliance, Aijaz Shahdhar, condoled the massive financial loss suffered by the business establishment and described the incident as extremely unfortunate and painful for the trading community.
Shahdhar said that the reports and visuals emerging from the site reflect the scale of devastation caused by the blaze, which engulfed sanitary and hardward items stored in the godown. He expressed solidarity with the affected trader and his family during this difficult time.
“The incident has caused immense anguish not only to the affected businessman but also to the entire trade fraternity of Kashmir. Such losses built over years of hard work are deeply distressing,” Shahdhar said.
The KTA President also urged the administration to assess the losses at the earliest and extend all possible assistance and relief to the affected trader so that the business can recover from the tragedy.
