BSF School Jammu celebrates annual day with theme ‘Vasudhaiv Katumbakam’

SRINAGAR: BSF School Jammu celebrated its Annual Day woven around the theme “Vasudhaiv Katumbakam” with vibrancy, zeal and grandeur on 6th May 2026 in the school auditorium. The event showcased the talents, creativity and achievements of the students, making it a memorable occasion for everyone present.
Satish Sharma, Cabinet Minister in J&K Government graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Sanjay Kumar DIG (OPS) Frontier HQ BSF, Jammu along with other esteemed officers of the Force, parents, staff and the students witnessed the programme.
The programme commenced with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp, a tradition symbolizing the quest for wisdom and enlightenment.
Principal Dr. S.K Shukla extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and shared the notable achievements of the school in both academic and co-curricular activities. From academic excellence, co-curricular and sports achievements to nurturing of life skills, the report painted a picture of the school’s consistent growth and unwavering commitment to the holistic development of the students.
The programme was an amalgamation of various hues befitting the theme wondrously. The performances meticulously choreographed and executed, reflected the stories of unity and togetherness. The cultural segment of the event featured a vibrant array of performances, including dances, songs and musical presentations. Students performed with confidence and energy, captivating the audience and earning loud applause. The most riveting performance which drew unceasing applause was the ‘Vasudhaiv Katumbakam’ dance.
The Chief Guest gave certificates and awards to the meritorious students who have excelled in academics, co- curricular activities and various sports competitions held at the National and International levels. The Chief Guest applauded the young performers and their mentors for delivering such a disciplined and impactful presentation. He also congratulated the students for the remarkable accomplishments in different fields.
In recognition of the marvellous performance of the students, the Chief Guest Sh Satish Sharma awarded a cash prize of Rupees One Lakh and eleven thousand.
Being an alumnus of BSF School Jammu, he was deeply impressed by the phenomenal growth the school has attained over the years and congratulated Principal Dr S.K Shukla and his team for their relentless efforts in taking the school to the zenith of success.
The event culminated with the stirring rendition of the National Anthem, filling the auditorium with pride and unity.
