Srinagar: In a major breakthrough against militant networks, police in Pulwama, in a meticulously planned joint operation with 44 RR Shadimarg and CRPF 183 Bn, successfully apprehended a militant associate.
During the operation at Qasbayar (CB Nath Road), one militant associate identified as Mohd Umar Malik, son of Abdul Majeed Malik, resident of Kachipora, was apprehended by the joint team. Upon search, incriminating material in the form of arms and explosives was recovered from his possession, including one Star pistol, one pistol magazine, two live rounds, and two hand grenades.
“In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 75/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Rajpora, and investigation has been initiated,” a police spokesperson said.
“J&K Police reiterates its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and remains steadfast in its mission to neutralize militant networks. Citizens are urged to stay alert and cooperate with police by sharing any credible information,” he said.
