In a heartfelt message shared on X, the Prime Minister said he was “deeply saddened” by her demise and paid tribute to her extraordinary musical journey that spanned decades. “Her extraordinary musical journey, spanning decades, enriched our cultural heritage and touched countless hearts across the world,” Modi said, highlighting how her voice defined generations of Indian cinema and music.
Recalling her unmatched versatility, he noted that whether it was soulful melodies or vibrant compositions, Asha Bhosle’s voice carried a “timeless brilliance” that resonated across eras and audiences.
