Urges NC cadre to lead mass participation

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar Saturday called on party functionaries and grassroot workers to mobilize widespread public participation in the Census of India 2027, the world’s largest administrative and statistical exercise underscoring its decisive role in shaping Jammu and Kashmir’s development over the next decade.
Describing the census as a “blueprint for the future,” Sagar urged cadres to educate, engage, and empower citizens on its far-reaching impact. He stressed that active and informed participation will drive equitable planning, optimize resource allocation, and strengthen representation.
“Every household counted is a voice secured, every detail recorded is a step toward progress,” he said, urging workers to take this message to every doorstep.
Sagar emphasized that robust public participation will ensure Jammu and Kashmir’s needs, aspirations and ground realities are accurately captured, directly influencing policy priorities and development outcomes.
Reaffirming the party’s commitment to inclusive growth, he called on workers to act as ambassadors of awareness and turn the Census exercise into a mass movement for a more informed, empowered society.
