HAJIN: To mark Road Safety Week and spread awareness among youth, the Chief Education Office Bandipora on Monday organised a cycle race in Hajin.
The race was flagged off from Government Higher Secondary School Hajin by Principal Mehboob Ahmad Khan in the presence of Muntazir Muneer and other senior dignitaries.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, with the race commencing from the school premises and culminating at Baharabad. Participants highlighted the importance of following traffic rules and adopting safe road practices.
Officials said the initiative aimed to sensitise young students about road safety measures and encourage responsible behaviour while using roads.
Participants were awarded appreciation certificates by the department.
The awareness programmes regarding Road Safety Rules have already been kick started few days ago by the District Administration Bandipora.
