Baramulla: The two-day Range-Level Training Programme on “Field Intelligence and Inter-Agency Coordination” concluded on Monday at District Police Lines Baramulla.
The programme, inaugurated on February 16 by DIG North Kashmir Range Maqsood-ul-Zaman, was attended by SSP Baramulla Gurinderpal Singh, SSP Police District Sopore Iftikhar Talib, Additional SP Baramulla Hariprasad K.K, along with guest speakers and senior officers from Range Police Headquarters Baramulla.
Officers from all districts and police districts of the North Kashmir Range participated in the programme, representing the ranks of DySPs, Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors. The training was organised in pursuance of directives from Police Headquarters J&K as part of the ongoing Capacity Building Programme aimed at enhancing the professional competence of field officers.
The two-day schedule featured interactive sessions, expert lectures and case-study based exercises focusing on techniques of field intelligence generation, best practices in operational coordination and strengthening inter-agency synergy for effective law enforcement.
Addressing the inaugural session, DIG Maqsood-ul-Zaman stressed the importance of intelligence-led policing and close coordination among agencies in maintaining public order and countering emerging security challenges, describing the initiative as a vital step towards professional development.
At the valedictory function, trainee officers and guest speakers were felicitated with participation certificates and mementoes in recognition of their contribution. The programme is expected to significantly enhance the professional skills of participating officers and reinforce the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police towards continuous learning, capacity building and excellence in policing.
