Bandipora:Taking a serious view of indiscipline and open disregard for official directions, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Bandipora has issued show-cause notices to several heads of institutions for willfully skipping an official meeting convened at High School Bagh on Tuesday.
As per an order issued by the CEO’s office, the meeting was scheduled vide notice No. CEO/Bpr/Estt/026770-74 dated February 5, 2026, mandating the personal presence of the concerned principals and headmasters. However, despite clear instructions, the heads of HSS Arin, HSS Ajas, GHS Hajin, HS Charnapal, HS Jurniyal, HS Matagam, HS Gurez, HS Muqamyar, HS Vijpara, HS Chewa, HS Choorwan, HS Wanpora, HS Tarbal and HS Ganastan remained absent without any prior approval.
The CEO described their absence as “a blatant violation of official orders and a serious act of insubordination”, reflecting utter disregard for departmental discipline and authority.
The defaulting officers have been asked to furnish a written explanation for their unauthorised non-attendance and appear personally before the undersigned on February 12, 2026.
The order categorically warns that failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe shall invite strict disciplinary action under the rules in force, without any further notice.
