AN-32 Kargil Courier Service begins winter operations

82 passengers airlifted on day one

KARGIL: The AN-32 Kargil Courier Service officially commenced its winter season operations today, ensuring vital air connectivity for residents of Kargil during the challenging winter months.
The Indian Air Force crew was warmly welcomed at Kargil Airport by Executive Councillor of LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Mohd Feroz, Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Imteeaz Kacho, and other senior officials. At Srinagar Airport, the crew was received by Er Aamir Ali, Chief Coordinator of Kargil Courier, Airport Director Srinagar, along with senior officers from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), CISF, BCAS, AIASL Station Manager, and liaison officers.
On its first day of operation, the service successfully airlifted 29 passengers from Kargil to Srinagar and 53 passengers, including children, infants, and patients, from Srinagar to Kargil, ensuring essential connectivity for
