BANDIPORA:In a prompt humanitarian response, personnel of Ajay Company of 13 Rashtriya Rifles (Kumaon) on Thursday extended immediate assistance to victims of a road accident in the Ajas area of Bandipora district.
Officials said that at around 10:30 am, Army personnel noticed a white Hyundai Creta (JK15A-3624), owned by Abdul Rashid Khan of Bandipora, which had skidded off the road and met with an accident.
The soldiers swiftly rescued the injured occupants from the vehicle and arranged their immediate evacuation to Srinagar for advanced medical treatment.
An Army recovery vehicle was also deployed to remove the damaged car from the spot, ensuring the smooth movement of traffic in the area.
Locals appreciated the timely intervention of the Army personnel and lauded their humanitarian gesture. The incident once again underlined the force’s commitment to public welfare and emergency response in remote areas.
