Hajin: The power supply to the Sonawari belt fed from the Badampora Grid Station has been fully restored,

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal told Kashmir Reader that, electricity has been restored in Madwan, Hajin, Hakbara, Wangipora, Nowgam and Safapora areas, with all feeders in these zones now operational, bringing relief to consumers after recent power outages.

However, the power supply from the Nihalpora Grid Station to the Sonawari belt continues to remain affected due to damage to two 132 kV transmission line towers. As a result, electricity supply is still disrupted in Markundal, Naidkhie, Shahgund and Shadipora areas.

The SDM said restoration work is underway and concerned departments are making efforts to repair the damaged transmission lines and restore power to the affected areas at the earliest.
