SRINAGAR: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, on Wednesday expressed concern over the unusually dry winter being witnessed in Kashmir, marked by a worrying absence of rain and snowfall.
In a post on X, he said that rain and snow are manifestations of Allah’s mercy, and their prolonged absence calls for believers to reflect, return to Allah with humility, and engage in sincere supplication.
The Mirwaiz added, “Special prayers will be held at Jama Masjid, Srinagar, this Friday, Insha Allah, to seek rain and snowfall.”
