Hajin: The campaign for intensive Pulse Polio Immunization was held on Sunday across the Sonawari area of the Bandipora district to administer Polio drops to children in the age group of (0-5) years, protecting them from the disease.Block Medical Officer Hajin inaugurated the Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) Programme, 2025, at the Community Health Centre in Sumbal/Hajin.The BMO started the campaign by administering oral polio vaccine drops to childrens.
BMO Hajin, Dr Syed Idrees Ahmad, said that 28,425 children would be administered pulse polio drops in the Sonawari area.He added that for successful conduct of the drive, 620 employees including health workers, ASHA workers, Anganwari workers and volunteer workers have been deployed at 150 booths.
05 transit teams/mobile booths have also been established for the effective and successful implementation of the program.”
