Attends prog at CRC Bemina on International Day of Persons with Disabilities
SRINAGAR: Socio political activist, senior trade union leader and civic reformer Mohammad Altaf Dar attended a special programme at the Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Bemina, organised to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The event focused on promoting inclusivity, skill development, and various welfare schemes aimed at empowering specially-abled individuals across Jammu & Kashmir.
During the programme, the Director CRC emphasized that specially-abled persons are “an integral part of our society who possess unique abilities.” He underscored the collective responsibility of society and institutions to ensure these individuals receive the right platforms, opportunities, and support systems to showcase their talents and lead dignified lives.
M Altaf Dar extended his sincere gratitude to Dr. Mehjabeen Nabi Chairperson Care Foundation for the invitation. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mehjabeen Nabi and Management Care Foundation for the kind invitation and appreciated CRC’s dedicated efforts toward inclusive education, capacity-building, and accessibility.
Dar urged all stakeholders and government bodies, NGOs, educational institutions, and the community to continue supporting and uplifting specially-abled persons so they can thrive with confidence and independence.
