SRINAGAR: President Private Schools Association Jammu & Kashmir Nazr-ul-Islam Baba expressed profound grief and deep sorrow over the demise of the mother of renowned educationists — Ajaz Masoodi (Chairman Netherfield School), Showkat Masoodi (Former PRO, University of Kashmir) and Latif Masoodi (CEO UnAcademy), who passed away on Tuesday.
In his condolence message, Nazr-ul-Islam Baba said that the departed soul was a noble, pious, and dignified woman who served as a guiding light and moral foundation for the entire Masoodi family. He stated that her values, prayers, and encouragement helped shape some of Jammu & Kashmir’s most respected educators and professionals. He described her as a “pillar of strength” whose contributions to society will always be remembered with reverence.
The Nimaz-e-Janaza were offered at Model Town A, Sopore, where relatives, friends, academicians, and well-wishers gathered and paid their last respects.
Nazr-ul-Islam Baba extended heartfelt condolences to the Masoodi brothers and the entire bereaved family, praying to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul Jannat-ul-Firdous and to bless the family with courage and patience in this hour of grief.
“The passing of such a respected and motherly figure has caused widespread sorrow across the social, academic, and educational fraternity of Kashmir,” he said.
