HAJIN: Halqa Adab Sonawari (HAS) on Thursday organised a book-release function in collaboration with Adabi Markaz Kamraz at Hajin.
Two books titled “Ye Pale Peom” and “Mulil Meeraas”, authored by noted Kashmiri writer Abdul Ahad Hajini, were formally released on the occasion.
The function was presided over by Mohammad Amin Bhat, President of Adabi Markaz Kamraz, while noted Kashmiri scholar and Waqf Board member Dr Ghulam Nabi Haleem graced the occasion as the chief guest. Prominent literary personalities, including Shahnaz Rashid and Abdul Ahad Hajini, were also present on the stage.
Speaking on the occasion, the President of HAS said that the forum is committed to encouraging and promoting the creative pursuits of Kashmiri writers and aims to provide a robust platform for the growth of the Kashmiri language and literature.
The event was attended by Shahnaz Rashid, Shakir Shafi, Dr Riyaz-ul-Hassan, Majeed Majazi, Sheikh Ghulam Mohammad, Mir Bashir Ahmad, as well as a large number of students and research scholars.
