SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir Junior Girls Throwball Team left for Viramgam, Gujarat, to participate in the 33rd Junior National Throwball Championship 2025, held from October 24 to 26, 2025.
The team comprised 12 talented players — Rizwana, Qamreen, Ahla, Adeena, Rehana Batool, Rehana Fatima, Farzana, Rafika, Nooriya Banoo, Naira Jan, Sugra, and Qalbi Sakeena — under the guidance of Team CoachVilayat Hussain and Team Manager Sana.
The J&K girls displayed commendable sportsmanship, competing against strong teams from Telangana, Haryana, and Tamil Nadu, and reached the quarterfinals of the championship.
Govind Raj, General Secretary of the Throwball Federation of India (TFI), along with other officials, congratulated the J&K team for their spirited performance and dedication.
Sahil Ali Beigh, Secretary of the J&K 7 Side Throwball Association, expressed pride in the team’s efforts and stated that preparations are already underway for the upcoming Senior National Throwball Championship 2025–26, scheduled to be held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, in January 2026.
