Bandipora: The Razdan Top, the only road link connecting Gurez valley with Bandipora, witnessed a fresh spell of light snowfall on Monday, resulting in a dip in temperature across the higher reaches.
Officials said the snowfall began early in the morning, prompting authorities to temporarily suspend vehicular movement on the Bandipora–Gurez road as a precautionary measure.
“We are closely monitoring the situation,” an official told Kashmir Reader, adding that efforts are underway to ensure safe passage once conditions improve.
Meanwhile, authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution as the road has turned slippery at several stretches.
The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain and snow over the higher reaches of Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
