With 52,507 seats allocated nationwide, Association reassures J&K pilgrims of transparent processes
SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir Association of Hajj & Umrah Companies (JKAHUC) announces important updates following the Hajj Policy 2026. A total number of 52,507 Hajj seats have been allotted to India’s private sector for the upcoming season. These seats are distributed nationwide through Combined Hajj Group Organizers (CHGOs). The CHGOs are acknowledged and recognized by the Saudi Arabia Hajj Ministry and will be fully responsible for organizing all Hajj services in Saudi Arabia for the year 2026. All 14 registered Hajj Group Organizers (HGOs) from Jammu & Kashmir are affiliated with pan-India CHGOs.
Key Points for Pilgrims
There is no need to panic regarding the quota for Jammu and Kashmir. The current projection indicates approximately 2,500 seats are needed for Kashmir, while only 664 seats are currently being available through Kashmir-based 14 Hajj Group Organizers.
The remaining seats will be organized by JKAHUC in collaboration with all 26 CHGOs nationwide to ensure broad access and smooth processing for eligible pilgrims.
Pilgrims are advised to contact trusted Hajj and Umrah agents, preferably JKAHUC member agencies, to facilitate booking through the 26 CHGOs and to ensure reliable service and best possible facilities.
Message to Pilgrims
Do not be alarmed by the quota distribution. JKAHUC emphasizes transparency, reliability, and support in securing Hajj arrangements.
Engage only with authorized and trusted CHGOs/HGOs and JKAHUC members to verify inclusions, pricing, and terms before making any commitments.
Seek written confirmations and receipts; request detailed breakdowns of inclusions, costs, and any optional services.
