Bandipora, July 28: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Bandipora, Mudasir Ahmad Wani, on Monday carried out an extensive enforcement drive in the Sumbal Sub-Division to curb traffic violations and promote road safety.
During the drive, over 220 vehicles were checked, leading to the issuance of 54 challans for various violations of the Motor Vehicles Act. A total fine of ₹65,000 was realized during the operation. Furthermore, two vehicles were seized on the spot for gross violations.
The ARTO stated that such enforcement activities will continue across the district to ensure better traffic discipline and adherence to road safety norms.
