SRINAGAR: As part of its continued efforts to build strong police-public relations and promote awareness among the youth, Police have organised student outreach programme in Handwara and Awantipora.
Students from PM Shri Higher Secondary School, Sanzipora, were invited to the Police Station Qalamabad and students from Learn X Institute Awantipora to Police Station Awantipora, where they were given a guided tour and an overview of various records, procedures, and equipment used in daily policing. The officers also briefed the visiting students on the services provided by the police station and the importance of law enforcement in maintaining peace and order.
The students actively interacted with the police personnel and appreciated the initiative taken by J&K Police to familiarise them with the functioning of the police system. The outreach programme aims to encourage transparency, inspire trust in law enforcement agencies, and motivate the younger generation to become responsible citizens.
Such community engagement activities are part of the broader vision of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to strengthen community policing and foster youth participation in civic awareness initiatives.
