JKASW organises ‘Intergenerational Dialogue’ prog at Kaloosa, Bandipora

BANDIPORA: The Jammu and Kashmir Association of Social Workers (JKASW), supported by the Azim Premji Foundation (APF) under the project “Koor Cha Noor”, organised a day-long programme on the theme “Intergenerational Dialogue” at the Auditorium Hall in Kaloosa, Bandipora.
The event aimed to bridge the generational gap by fostering open conversations between young girls and their parents. Participants included students, senior citizens, teachers, social activists, and community leaders from various parts of the district.
Speakers at the programme highlighted the need to revive traditional values while adapting to modern challenges. They emphasised that meaningful interactions between generations are essential for preserving cultural heritage, promoting social harmony, and addressing societal issues collectively.
The programme featured interactive group sessions, cultural performances, and panel discussions focusing on the evolving roles of adolescence girls and the elderly in society. Parents shared life experiences, while girls expressed their aspirations and the challenges they face in today’s fast-changing world.
