Bandipora: Authorities have suspended vehicular movement on the Bandipora-Gurez road as a precautionary measure following continuous snowfall and poor visibility at Razdan Top.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gurez said on Friday that traffic on the vital road link shall remain suspended until further orders, keeping in view the safety of commuters. “The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure due to the prevailing weather conditions,” the SDM stated.
Meanwhile, Officer Commanding (OC) of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Avinash Kumar, confirmed that the road remains closed due to ongoing snowfall and low visibility at the Razdan Pass. “Snowfall is still continuing, and the road will be reopened only after the weather improves and snow clearance is completed,” he said.
