SRINAGAR: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic demise of the mother of senior journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Daily Asian Mail, Rasheed Rahil, who succumbed to injuries from a recent road accident near her residence in Pandach, Ganderbal.
Mirwaiz paid tribute to the deceased, remembering her as a devout and dignified woman known for her strong moral character and community respect.
On Mirwaiz’s directions, a delegation visited Mr. Rahil’s residence to convey his condolences, offer Fatiha, and perform Isaal-e-Sawab for the departed soul.
Mirwaiz also expressed condolences on the passing of a devoted well-wisher of the Mirwaiz family, Abdul Majeed Bhat of Nallahbal, Nowshera. He prayed for his forgiveness and elevation in Jannat-ul-Firdous and extended sympathies to his family.
