Emphasizes timely completion of arrangements
GANDERBAL: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore on Tuesday directed all the concerned departments to ensure upgraded and timely completion of all preparations for smooth celebration of annual Kheer Bhawani Mela 2025 at Tulamulla Ganderbal.
The DC gave these directions during a review meeting held here in the V.C Room to review the status of preparations for the Mela.
He issued specific instructions for ensuring uninterrupted power and drinking water supplies, availability of adequate transport, sanitation and mobile toilet facilities and overall cleanliness in and around the temple premises.
DC reviewed the status of ongoing preparations like installation of street lights and drinking water facilities, provisions for mobile toilets, macadamization of roads, cleanliness, and setting up of stalls.
Directives were issued to ensure uninterrupted power and drinking water supplies, adequate transport facilities, toilet facilities, provision of sanitation in and around the temple premises.
Assistant Commissioner Panchayat was directed to make arrangements for mobile toilets as per requirement with deployment of sufficient manpower for maintenance of these toilets.
Executive Officer, Municipal Council Ganderbal, was instructed to oversee proper sanitation along the temple approach road and install dustbins at key locations.
Executive Engineer R&B was tasked with initiating macadamization work on all roads leading to the Kheer Bhawani Temple wherever required.
While interacting with the officers, DC said that the district administration is committed to ensuring a safe, convenient, and spiritually enriching experience for all devotees participating in the annual Kheer Bhawani Mela.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Fahim Bihaqi; ACP, Executive Engineers of R&B, PDD and REW Ganderbal, EO MC Ganderbal and ARTO Ganderbal.
Meanwhile, in a step towards ensuring fair and transparent arrangements for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2025, the randomization process for allocation of tents and shops along the Baltal route was conducted today at the V.C Room of the DC Office Ganderbal.
The process was supervised by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, and attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Fahim Bihaqi; District Informatics Officer NIC, and representatives of tent and shop owners.
Randomization was carried out for multiple key locations along the Yatra route, including Baltal, Domail, Railpathri, Brarimarg, Sangam, and outside Baltal. This process ensures equal opportunities for all applicants and reinforces the district administration’s commitment to a transparent and efficient system.
DC reiterated the administration’s commitment to organizing a well-coordinated and safe pilgrimage experience for all devotees.
All the stakeholders expressed satisfaction over the smooth conduct of the process.
