BANDIPORA: A grand Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) Conference and Naat Competition was organised on Friday by New Greenland Senior Secondary School (NGSSS) Sumbal, drawing an enthusiastic response from students and the local community.
The event commenced with the recitation of Tilawat-e-Kalam, followed by soul-stirring Naat-e-Nabi (SAW) by students, reflecting deep reverence and devotion.
The conference was graced by Principal GDC Sumbal, Prof. Shabeena Shawal, who attended as the Chief Guest, while SDPO Sumbal Abdul Hameed was the Guest of Honour. Chairman NGSSS Sumbal, Syed Sajad Hussain, and School Principal Mohammad Qasim were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the guests and speakers emphasised the timeless relevance of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), urging students to embody values of compassion, humility, and truthfulness in their daily lives.
Chairman Syed Sajad Hussain highlighted the importance of organising such spiritual programs in educational institutions. He underlined the role of Seerat in shaping the moral foundation of young minds and stressed the need to instil Islamic values alongside modern education.
Seerat and Naat competitions were held in two categories, with students displaying remarkable talent and devotion.
The winners were later felicitated with prizes and certificates by the chief guest and other dignitaries.
