Police-public meeting held at Ajas

BANDIPORA: To bridge the gap between police and the public, the police organized a public meeting on Sunday at the main market of Ajas in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The event was chaired by DO Ajas, Shoib Mohammad. The event witnessed active participation from a large number of senior citizens and youths from the area.
Speaking on the occasion, DO Shoib Mohammad sensitized the public about new criminal laws and emphasized the importance of their implementation. He highlighted the critical role of community cooperation in addressing issues related to law and order.
The DO urged the people to cooperate with the police in identifying drug addicts and peddlers and encouraged the youth to stay away from the menace of drugs.
The officer also urged residents to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings, stressing that a clean environment contributes to overall well-being.
The attendees expressed their appreciation for the police’s initiative in organizing the public darbar, valuing the opportunity to voice their genuine concerns directly.
