J&K Yateem Foundation organises ‘Welcome Ramadhan’ prog at Baitul Hilal Jawahar Nagar

SRINAGAR: J&K Yateem Foundation organised “Welcome Ramadhan” Program ahead of upcoming Holy Ramadhan, at its orphanage BAITUL HILAL at Jawahar Nagar here.
The volunteers from Kashmir region attended the program to understand the spiritual significance of Ramadhan and prepare for the blessed month ahead.
The program featured an enlightening address by Dr. Jawhar Qudusi, who spoke passionately about the importance of Ramadhan.
Dr. Qudusi emphasized the virtues of fasting, self-discipline and increased devotion during the sacred Ramadhan. He also highlighted the significance of charity (Zakat) and community bonding, urging attendees to use the month as an opportunity for spiritual growth and self purification.
In his address, JKYF Chairman Mohammad Ahsan Rather underscored the need to purify one’s thoughts during Ramadhan to become a more productive member of society. He urged volunteers to dedicate themselves to serving the needy during this holy month, emphasizing the importance of selfless service for the sake of Allah.
Earlier, former JKYF Chairman Mohammad Rafiq Lone welcomed the participants. In his opening remarks, he stressed the importance of reaching out to the needy and addressing their concerns during Ramadhan.
The program also included recitation of verses from Holy Qura’n by scholars from Baitul Hilal, Jawahar Nagar.
Yawar Ahmad and Jaffer Hussain presented verses from the Holy Quran, along with their translations, while Waseem Ahmad Lone recited a “Naat” ( praise poetry for Prophet Muhammad PBUH)
The event concluded with “Dua” presented by Shafeeq Ahmad Khaki, JKYF district representative for Anantnag.
The proceedings were conducted by JKYF Program Executive for Press and Public Relations, Javaid Jawad.
