SRINAGAR – A tragic road accident claimed the life of a woman pedestrian after she was hit by a truck at Wanpoh Flyover in South Kashmir Kulgam district on Thursday afternoon.
An official said that the woman, identified as Mubeena Banoo, wife of Mohd Shafi Malik from Danter, Anantnag, was critically injured when a truck (bearing registration number JK03H-8772) struck her.
She was immediately rushed to GMC Anantnag for treatment but was declared brought dead on arrival, he said .
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investi gation.
