CRM to be installed within 20 days: Official
GANDERBAL: The business community and residents of the Gund area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district are demanding the installation of a Cash Recycling Machine (CRM) at the local J&K Bank branch, which serves as a key financial hub for the area.
Business owners, who frequently rely on the bank for cash transactions, have expressed frustration over the time-consuming nature of the current banking processes.
A delegation from Gund area told Kashmir Reader that there is always a huge rush, and it often takes a considerable amount of time to deposit or withdraw cash. They added that the situation worsens during peak hours, creating delays that hinder daily business activities.
Ghulam Rasool, a renowned businessman from the area, said the introduction of a CRM would help ease congestion and allow customers to carry out transactions more efficiently. “We are businessmen and frequent bank visitors. Our demand for installation of a CRM would greatly improve our efficiency and the importance of swift banking services for business operations,” he said.
Residents said that the demand for CRM is driven by the increasing need for faster and more accessible banking services, particularly for those who make multiple visits to the branch.
They emphasised that the installation of the CRM would provide significant relief to both residents and the business community, easing the burden of long wait times and enhancing the overall efficiency of financial services in the area.
When contacted, J&K Bank Cluster Head Ganderbal, Javid Rashid, confirmed to Kashmir Reader that a Cash Recycling Machine has already been sanctioned for the Gund branch. “The machine would be installed within the next 20 days to facilitate smoother and quicker transactions for the growing number of customers,” he said.
