Reviews Arrangements For R-Day Celebrations
JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar and Additional Director General of Police Anand Jain today took stock of the arrangements for UT level Republic Day 2025 celebrations here at the main venue- M A Stadium.
Accompanied by senior officials of Police and Civil administration, HoDs of line departments, the visit was focused on putting in place all the requisite arrangements for smooth and successful conduct of the national festival.
The Divisional Commissioner was apprised on the preparations made by different departments as per their role and responsibilities.
Taking a detailed look at the arrangements being made by the concerned departments, the Div Com stressed on maintaining close synergy among the concerned departments while executing the plans. The concerned departments were directed to ensure all arrangements on the ground well in advance.
The Div Com and ADGP took a detailed stock of security arrangements, traffic management, seating arrangements, decoration, Power & water supply, sanitation, Medicare, convenient parking spaces, shuttle service for citizens, barricading, frisking points, fire emergency. The concerned officers were instructed to follow the SOPs while executing their assigned tasks. The Div Com was further apprised that the rehearsals are commencing at the main venue from tomorrow with the participation of contingents of the Armed forces, School children, bands, besides troupes participating in the cultural programmes.
While inspecting the ongoing works at the main Pavilion, the Div Com directed the Hospitality and Protocol department to make available water proof tentage and heating arrangements.
