Jammu: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Saturday chaired a tri-services meeting of the Army, Air Force and Navy in the Northern Command headquarters in Udhampur to review the operational preparedness.
Quoting a defense spokesperson, a local news agency said the Army Chief was briefed about the operational preparedness under the area of responsibility, particularly in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
He said that the meeting was attended by senior officers of the Army, Air Force, Navy and also the Indo Tibet Border Police (ITBP).
The Indian Army, in a post on X, said that the Army Chief also chaired discussions aimed at further enhancing joint capability.
It said that General Upendra also inspected latest inducted state of the art weapons, equipment and other logistic assets. “He also commended all ranks of the Northern Command for their professionalism and the initiatives taken by the Command towards achieving synergy in operations.”
