SRINAGAR: The fourth batch of 99 Agniveers was attested in a grand ceremony held on 03 Dec 2024 at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regimental Centre, Srinagar.
The intensive training of these young and determined Agniveers began on 01 May 2024. Over the course of 31 weeks, they underwent a rigorous training program designed to transform them into battle-ready soldiers. The training included physical and mental conditioning, exposure to military ethos, regimental discipline (tarteeb), social etiquette, camaraderie, and the development of a relentless spirit to become both disciplined soldiers and responsible citizens of India.
The event began with a National Salute to the Flag, followed by a march-in and oath-taking parade. In recognition of their sacrifices, the proud parents of the Agniveers were honored with the prestigious ‘GauravPadak’ for their selfless contribution in supporting their children’s commitment to the nation.
