SRINAGAR: The “Know Your Army Mela,” organized by the Chinar Warriors, was held with great enthusiasm at the Helipad Ground, Panzgam Garrison. The event aimed to inspire and educate young minds about the Indian Army’s heroic contributions, its operations, and various career opportunities available within the Armed Forces.
A total of 262 students from Classes VIII to XII participated in the event, which provided them with a unique and immersive experience. The Mela showcased a variety of attractions, including an Equipment Display that gave students a firsthand look at the Army’s cutting-edge technology. The War Gallery and Perception Management Gallery highlighted the Indian Army’s glorious history and the life of a soldier.
One of the major highlights of the event was the interaction with Gallantry Award winners, where students heard inspiring firsthand accounts of bravery, courage, and dedication. The Army Recruitment Office (ARO) Guidance Stand offered valuable insights into career opportunities in the Armed Forces.
The Mela also included engaging activities like a quiz and a drawing competition, allowing students to test their knowledge and express their creativity. A spirited live performance by the Army Band further enhanced the atmosphere, captivating the audience and adding to the energy of the event.
The “Know Your Army Mela” not only raised awareness about the Indian Army’s pivotal role in safeguarding the nation but also left a lasting impression on the students, motivating them to aspire for a life of discipline, service, and honor.
