SRINAGAR: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has released the admit cards for the December Term End Exams on its official website.
In the Jammu region, a total of 35 examination centers have been set up, including four centers exclusively for jail inmates at District Jail Ambphalla, District Jail Udhampur, District Jail Kathua, and Central Jail Kot Bhalwal. Additionally, one examination center has been established at the Northern Command Udhampur for Army personnel.
The examinations will commence on December 2, 2024, and conclude on January 9, 2025. They will be held in two sessions each working day: the morning session from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and the evening session from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. There will be no examinations on Sundays or government gazetted holidays.
The exams will be conducted in both pen-and-paper and computer-based testing (CBT) modes. For courses including PCO-01, BSHF-101, FST-01, BLI-011, BLI-012, BLI-013, BLI-014, BEVAE181, and BSSS183, the question papers will consist of objective-type questions (multiple choice format) and will be conducted on OMR sheets.
Regional Director Dr. Jai Prakash Verma thanked the local administration for its consistent cooperation, including the deployment of security personnel at examination centers to maintain law and order. He also acknowledged the support of postal authorities for accepting sealed parcels from examination centers beyond working hours. Dr. Verma expressed confidence in the successful and smooth conduct of the exams with the cooperation of the administration, the Higher Education Department, management, staff, and other stakeholders in the region.
