SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has expressed shock at the tragic killing of a doctor and six other personnel associated with a construction company working on a tunnel project in Gagangeer, Sonamarg. It denounced these killings as an attempt to undermine the peace and tranquility of Jammu & Kashmir.
In light of this incident, the KCCI urges the government to mandate a high-level inquiry to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and to determine accountability for the apparent security failures that placed these individuals at risk while engaged in this significant project, the Chamber said in a statement issued here.
“The KCCI condemns the senseless murder of innocent lives and extends its heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the families of the victims,” the statement said.
