AWANTIPORA: The Centre for Disaster Risk Reduction (CDRR), Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), in collaboration with the Dean of Students, organized Geophysical Investigations at Campus-II of the University. The initiative aims to explore strategies to mitigate the impact of flash floods and manage water flow from the Wastoorwan Mountain to the nearby Jhelum River, while enhancing underground water recharge and ensuring sustainable water management.

The event was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, in presence of Registrar Prof. Abdul Wahid, Prof Shakeel Ahmad visiting professor at CDRR, Finance Officer Mr. Sameer Wazir, Ex.
