LG, DG greet people on Milad-Un-Nabi

Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has extended his greetings to the people on the eve of Milad-un-Nabi.
In a message the Lt Governor said: “On the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, celebrated as Milad-un-Nabi, I convey my warm greetings and good wishes to all.
The life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad inspire us to follow the path of righteousness and strengthen the values of compassion, equality, love and peace in the society.
May his teachings of universal brotherhood and service to humanity guide us on the path of kindness, unity and harmony.”
Director General of Police, J&K, R.R. Swain also extended his warm wishes to all citizens, families of martyrs, police personnel, security forces, and their families in Jammu and Kashmir.
In his message, the DGP has said ,”Eid Milad-un-Nabi is a time for togetherness, sharing happiness and worries with family, friends, and community. Let us express gratitude to the Almighty and on this auspicious occasion pray for peace and prosperity in the Union Territory.”
The DGP, J&K while remembering those who sacrificed their lives for peace in the region has impressed upon all personnel to work for the families of these martyrs.
Conveying his heartfelt thanks to the brave police and security force personnel for ensuring safety the DGP has prayed, “May this Eid Milad-un-Nabi bring joy to our lives, love to our hearts, and peace to our UT”.
