SRINAGAR: Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, BJP National Executive Member and Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, addressed a public gathering on Saturday in Abahama, Rajpora, Pulwama. The event also featured BJP’s candidate for the Rajpora Assembly constituency, Arshid Bhat. Dr. Andrabi received a warm welcome from the crowd upon her arrival.
In her speech, Dr. Andrabi thanked the public for their support and praised the Prime Minister’s policies, saying that the BJP has established itself as a strong political force in Kashmir. She said that peace and development were achieved under BJP rule after decades of violence, insecurity, and social unrest, which she attributed to the mismanagement of regional dynastic parties like the National Conference (NC), the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and the Congress (INC).
“Those who now seek votes are the very ones responsible for the deaths of our youth,” Dr. Andrabi remarked, sharply criticizing these parties for their past actions. She accused them of promoting a semi-separatist agenda that exploited the youth for political gain. Dr. Andrabi affirmed that peace in J&K is now a reality, and the progress made under the BJP government is irreversible.
“The changes in J&K are final. We have paid the price with lives lost over decades, and we cannot allow political brokers to destabilize this hard-earned peace,” she added, calling on voters to reject the “primitive politics” of the dynastic parties.
Dr. Andrabi also claimed that these political parties had fostered the drug trade, which she said was part of their efforts to manipulate the youth for political purposes. “They destroyed our social fabric and now shamelessly return, attempting to sell their old narratives in a changed J&K,” she stated, asserting that the public is ready to reject them outright.
She concluded her address by urging the people of Rajpora to vote for Arshid Bhat, describing him as a dedicated and beloved figure in the community.
