GB Club Bandipora lifts Champions Trophy Hajin

HAJIN: On a bright and sunny Sunday, the Sports Ground in Hajin, Bandipora district, came alive with excitement as the final of the much-anticipated Champions Trophy Hajin took place.

The tournament had been the talk of the town for months, leading up to the thrilling final showdown between two formidable teams: X1 Brothers Hajin and GB Club Bandipora.

A large crowd gathered at the Sports Ground Hajin before the start of the match. The atmosphere was electric as fans eagerly awaited the outcome of this nail-biting competition, which kept everyone on the edge of their seats throughout the day.

GB Club Bandipora won the toss and opted to bat first, aiming to put early pressure on X1 Brothers Hajin. They managed to post a competitive total of 183 runs in their allotted 20 overs, despite losing nine wickets.

In response, X1 Brothers Hajin struggled to gain momentum and were bowled out for just 89 runs. GB Club Bandipora’s bowlers remained composed and maintained their high standards, ensuring the match never slipped away from their grasp. The victory was hard-fought and led to jubilation throughout the stadium.

The crowd remained engaged and excited throughout the match, with anticipation building with each over. The roar of the spectators grew louder as the match progressed, adding to the thrilling atmosphere.

During the presentation ceremony, Aqib Ahmad was declared the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, taking three crucial wickets in the final.

In addition to lifting the coveted trophy, the winners received a cash prize of Rs 60,000, while the runners-up were awarded Rs 30,000.

Imtiyaz Parray was the Chief Guest at the occasion, while SHO Hajin and Chief Spokesperson of EJAC, Mir Bashir Ahmad, were also present at the event.
